For the Date Caramel:

10 zamli or soft medjool dates, pitted

1 to 1½ cups warm water
For the Oats:

3 tbsp oat flour

1 tbsp whey protein powder

1 tbsp date syrup

1 tbsp sugar

1/6 tsp bicarbonate of soda

¼ tsp baking powder

Splash of hot water

Splash of milk

Make the Date Caramel:

Pit your dates and place them in a blender with the warm water. Let them soak for 5-10 minutes before blending until smooth. Add a pinch of salt.

Prepare the Oats:

Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).

In a small bowl, mix all the baked oat ingredients together until the mixture resembles cake batter.

Bake the Oats:

Pour the oat mixture into an oven-safe dish, ramekin, or bowl and bake for 12 minutes.

Remove from the oven and microwave for 30 seconds to ensure the oats are fully cooked.

Microwave 3 tablespoons of the date caramel for 30 seconds and spread it over the baked oats.
