2 egg whites

½ cup fresh milk

Prepare the Molds: Brush the molds with melted butter to prevent sticking.

Make the Egg Custard: In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined. Fill each mold about a third of the way with this custard mixture. Steam for 5 minutes.

Prepare the Puto Batter: Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. While continuing to beat, add fresh milk. Gradually add the flour, sugar, and baking powder, and continue mixing for another 1-2 minutes.

Combine Custard and Puto: Pour the Puto batter on top of the steamed custard, filling the mold about ¾ of the way. Steam for 10-12 more minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
